You’ve probably heard that Pinterest is one of the most powerful outlets for wedding photographers, wedding planners, and other wedding creatives to find clientele. With approximately 40 million people using Pinterest to plan their weddings each year, there’s no doubt that marketing on the platform can help your business thrive.
But like many wedding creatives, you might not be sure where to begin when it comes to Pinterest marketing. What types of posts should you be pinning? How do you use Pinterest to see success? How do you make yourself stand out among all of the other wedding creatives on the platform?
As a Pinterest Manager for wedding creatives, I’ve got your back! Here are my top tips on how to get your wedding business noticed on Pinterest.
1. Create Eye-Catching, High-Value Pins
Every time you pin something on Pinterest, it’s important to ask yourself: will this benefit my target audience? Eye-catching pins that provide quality content and valuable information is a must if you want your wedding business to get noticed on Pinterest!
The goal is for your pins to stand out! Providing valuable information that appeals to your target audience is what will make people re-pin and save your pins as they’re wedding planning.
2. Share Pins to Get Potential Clients Hooked
Every time you create a pin, the goal is to get potential dream clients hooked! But how do you do this? One way is to provide them with solutions to problems they may be having! For example, you might create pins like 5 Tips for Planning an Outdoor Wedding or 5 Best Places in San Diego to Take Your Wedding Photos.
I offer more tips on how wedding creatives can hook their dream clients in my Pinterest freebie, so be sure to grab that if you want to use Pinterest marketing to take your business to the next level!
3. Pin About the Right Topics
What you pin about matters if you want to get your wedding business noticed on Pinterest. It’s ideal to post a mix of evergreen and trending topics. Evergreen topics are trendy topics that stand the test of time and can be found year after year (e.g. planning a classic wedding), whereas trendy topics are what your target audience is currently searching for (e.g. best wedding themes for 2024).
To implement this into your Pinterest marketing strategy, you’ll want to conduct some research on keywords. It’s also ideal to do some market research and see what similar content creators are pinning about.
If you want more help on trending topics, I recommend joining my Book More Membership! Each week, I do a trending topic dump to help give you inspo for Pinterest and blogging topics! I also teach you the ins and outs of website marketing, blogging, and Pinterest marketing for wedding creatives to help you book more clients and make more money!
4. Make Sure Your Pins are Branded
When designing your pins, it’s important to make sure that potential clients get a good sense of the service or products you’re offering. You can use fonts, colors, and logos to ensure Pinterest users understand your brand.
Branding is something I can assist you with as a Pinterest Manager for wedding photographers and other wedding creatives!
5. Include a Call to Action
Your pins should always include a call to action! This helps your dream clients know what to do once they’ve found your pins. You can do this with a text overlay, encouraging Pinterest users to want to learn more about your pin. The pin description is another great place to include a call to action, such as visiting your wedding website or booking your wedding photography services.
6. Link Your Pins to Your Blog Posts
Most wedding creatives don’t know this, but blogging is a MUST for your Pinterest marketing strategy!
When it comes to Pinterest marketing, the goal is to drive potential clients to your website. This is how you’ll reel them into checking out the services or products you offer. Linking your pins to your blog posts is one of the best ways to drive more traffic.
Since the Pinterest algorithm favors fresh URLs, linking your pins to your blog posts is one way to rank higher in the search engine.
7. Focus on Consistency
Pinterest’s algorithm values consistency, meaning posting on a regular basis will help you rank higher in the search engine. Creating a pin schedule and staying on top of it is one of the best ways to draw more attention to your wedding business using the platform.
As a wedding creative, it can be challenging to find the time for Pinterest on top of everything else you need to do! This is where I can help as a Pinterest Manager for wedding creatives!
